The fine print

Terms & conditions

Short, readable, and genuinely enforced. Please read them before you apply.

Respectful conduct

All participants β€” especially chairs β€” should maintain a respectful and inclusive attitude toward others throughout the conference, embracing the diversity of cultures, viewpoints and ideas.

Disruptive behaviour or any form of discrimination or harassment will not be tolerated and will result in disciplinary action, including potential removal from the conference, in order to maintain a positive environment.

Attendance and participation

Delegates and chairs are expected to be present and on time for sessions and scheduled events. Active participation and preparation for discussions are essential for a successful experience.

Any planned absences should be communicated to the conference team in advance.

Unjustified absences on both days of the conference will be viewed as negligent ignorance and will result in the cancellation of your application upon the closure of the conference. Participation certificates will not be sent under such circumstances.

Originality and integrity

All resolution papers, speeches and documents submitted should be the participant's own work. While collaboration is encouraged, plagiarism or copying others' work is not allowed.

AI-generated work will be severely penalised, by disqualifying the individual from obtaining any award.

If any submitted document is a work of both plagiarism and AI generation, the participant will not receive anything β€” not even a participation certificate β€” upon the closure of the conference.

Acknowledge sources or inspirations appropriately if referencing external materials.

Media and privacy

By participating in UNGDS, you agree that photos and recordings may be taken and used by UNGDS for promotional purposes, unless otherwise requested.

Safety and well-being

Participants are encouraged to prioritise their well-being and to communicate any needs or concerns with the UNGDS team.
